For those of you who don't know, there's a great photographer out there called Dave Hill ( http://www.davehillphoto.com/ ). His stuff looks cool but it's allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll photoshop. Not that he can apply an action to any image but when he shoots he knows how to set it up to get a result that he can then do significant compositing of people, backgrounds and elements. He spends a TON of time in photoshop. And gets a ton of props for his images. To me, it's cool but it really lacks the personal connection that you get from images with less post processing. Soooo as I do, I was perusing his website and came across this gallery in his blog: http://davehillphoto.com/coney/ That's shot with just about the highest resolution camera you can shoot with (Hasselblad H2 w/ a 39mp phase one back) so you know it's not the difference in technology, and there's no post production. To me the images don't look any better than what you'd get from a point and shoot and his composition skills aren't that great when he doesn't photoshop the shit out of them.
